How It Works

From a report to a written opinion, in four steps

No booking, no travelling, no waiting at the clinic. You upload your child's reports and write your question; Assoc. Prof. Waleed Ismail reads them himself and sends you a written opinion within 48 working hours, and it stays saved in your account.

The steps in detail

1

Choose the right service

Start from the services page. Each service describes what it includes and what it does not, the price, and the reply time. If you are not sure which one fits, choose the echocardiogram report review: it is the widest entry point, and the doctor can point you to the next step afterward.

  • Report review: reading the echocardiogram and earlier reports, and answering your question.
  • Pre-surgery consultation: discussing the options for intervention and its timing.
  • Surgery cost estimate: a preliminary estimate based on the condition and the reports.
  • Talk to the doctor: a video call at a time we agree with you, based on the doctor's schedule and your time zone.
2

Upload the reports and write your question

Once you have chosen the service, a short form opens: the child's details, then the file uploads, then your question. The limit is 20 MB per file, in PDF, JPG, PNG, or MP4 format, and you can upload more than one.

  • Write a specific question: what worries you, and which decision you need help with.
  • Give your child's current weight and age, and the medications with their doses.
  • If the video is large, upload the clearest part of it or a still frame from the screen.
3

Pay online, or transfer and attach the receipt

Inside Egypt payment is in Egyptian pounds: bank card, Fawry, or mobile wallet, or a transfer to the wallet or by InstaPay with a photo of the receipt attached. From outside Egypt payment is in US dollars through PayPal.

  • Paying by card confirms the request immediately.
  • A manual transfer is taken up once the receipt has been reviewed and confirmed.
  • You can cancel and be refunded in full before the doctor begins the review.
4

Receive the reply in your account

You are notified when the reply is ready, and you find it written out on the order page inside your account. The reply stays saved for you: return to it whenever you need, print it, or show it to another doctor.

  • You have 2 follow-up questions within 14 days at no charge.
  • You can request another service at any time from the same account.

What to have ready before you start

  • The most recent echocardiogram report (the important one).
  • Catheterization or previous operation reports, if there are any.
  • Imaging scans or echocardiogram clips, if you have them.
  • Your child's current weight and age.
  • A list of the current medications and their doses.
  • Your question, written out in a sentence or two.

What the reply contains

  • The doctor's reading of the report in language you can follow: what the report actually says.
  • His opinion on the case: whether it needs intervention, follow-up, or a further test.
  • The next step he suggests, and its timing.
  • What would call for an urgent review, should it appear in your child.
  • A direct answer to your question as you wrote it.

Reply time

Reply within 48 working hours from payment confirmation. Working days are Saturday through Thursday; Fridays and public holidays are not counted. If we need a missing piece of information from you, the clock stops until you send it.

Follow-up questions

Once the reply has reached you, you have 2 follow-up questions within 14 days at no charge, provided they are about the same case and the same reports. A question that opens a new subject, or rests on new reports, is treated as a new consultation.
