In short: you receive a written consultant's opinion from the doctor on the reports you upload, within 48 working hours. No medication is prescribed in the consultation, it does not replace an examination at the clinic, and it is not to be used in emergencies.
Ekshef is an online consultation service in pediatric cardiac surgery. You upload your child's reports and write your question; Assoc. Prof. Waleed Ismail reads them and sends you a written opinion in your account.
The consultation is a consultant's opinion on the uploaded documents only. Specifically, this means:
The service is for the child's guardian (the father, the mother, or the legal guardian). By requesting a consultation you confirm that you are the child's guardian or are authorized by them, and that you have the right to share the child's medical data.
You must be 18 or older to create an account and complete a payment.
For the opinion to be useful, we need from you:
If the information is incomplete to the point that no opinion can be given, we ask you to complete it before the reply is issued.
Reply within 48 working hours from payment confirmation. Working days are Saturday through Thursday; Fridays and public holidays are not counted toward the period.
If we ask you for further information, the clock stops until you send it.
Once the reply arrives you can ask 2 follow-up questions within 14 days, at no extra charge, provided they are about the same case and the same reports.
A question that opens a new medical subject, or rests on new reports, is treated as a new consultation.
If you choose the video call service, the appointment is set once payment is confirmed, and the following rules apply:
The opinion given is a professional judgment based on the documents uploaded, as they stood when they were submitted. The site does not guarantee any particular treatment outcome, and bears no responsibility for decisions taken without a clinical examination or without going back to the treating medical team.
Nothing above affects any liability that Egyptian law does not permit to be excluded by agreement, including the provisions of the Medical Liability and Patient Protection Law No. 13 of 2025.
These terms are governed by Egyptian law, and the Egyptian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
